Media blasting is the process of using air pressure and abrasive material to remove paint, scale, and other unwanted contaminants from a surface. The durability and longevity of the powder coating is only as good as the surface it is applied to. We use media blasting, along with other pre-treatments, to prepare the surface of the metal so the powder coat will hold firm for years to come.
We do most of our blasting in our indoor blast room. We use a steel grit media in our blast room. This allows us to recycle the media and reuse it, ultimately saving our customers money.
If any project is too large for our 28' x 15' x 15' room, we have the ability to blast outside. Here we use either a crushed glass or coal slag media that is safe for our blast operators as well as the environment.
Blasting is a big part of powder coating, because of this we use Clemco blasting equipment. Clemco is a brand recognized world wide but their products are manufactured right here in Missouri.
